Burton & Garran Hall has several projects running in cooperation with ANU
Greeen & the ANU Sustainabilty Learning community.
The ANU SLC garden has been running
now since 2006 and incorporates permaculture and no dig gardens.
Burton & Garran Hall has a small greenhouse and several no dig gardens.
Projects this year for our learning community involve the distribution of green
bags to residents.
The development of a new no dig herb garden outside the large communal kitchen
and the composting program which contributes to the hot compost distributed
around campus.
We hope to run speaker events in Hall to encourage participation and growth of
this community in semester 2 and beyond.
The next working bee is on Open day 29th August 2009.
